Lior Gal is an Israeli tax advocate and certified public accountant with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He served for more than seven years as a Senior Tax Inspector at the Israel Tax Authority, initially in the Large Enterprises Tax Assessor’s Office and later as a leading inspector in the Business Restructuring Unit and the Capital Markets Taxation Unit within the Professional Affairs Division. Prior to joining Shavit Tax Lawyers, Mr. Gal practiced in the tax department of Meitar | Law Offices.

Mr. Gal advises clients on a broad range of domestic and international tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business restructurings, capital markets taxation, corporate and individual tax planning, cryptocurrency taxation, and equity-based compensation plans. He has also served as a lecturer and tutor in the Israel Tax Authority’s income tax inspector courses, as well as in the Master of Business Taxation (MBT) program at the College of Management (Academic Studies).

Mr. Gal combines his public and private sector experience to provide clear, practical tax advice. He focuses on straightforward communication and on helping clients navigate complex matters efficiently and with confidence.
